CareerController Terms of Service

Candidate actions stay controlled

Creating an account, saving a job, setting a job alert or using an apply-lite flow does not by itself contact an employer, submit an ATS application, send a notification, release your resume, or share your phone or email details. Those effects require separate product controls and admitted provider flows.

Using CareerController

• CareerController helps candidates manage career profiles, job search activity, saved jobs, job alerts, matched job previews, messages, resumes, CV references and account data-rights requests.
• You must provide accurate information when creating or updating your account and must keep your login details secure.
• You are responsible for the profile, resume, CV, image, message and job preference information you choose to provide through the service.

Accounts and access

• You may need an account to use restricted parts of CareerController. We may refuse, suspend or close access if we reasonably believe an account is being misused, is insecure, or breaches these terms.
• You must not share passwords, one-time codes, tokens or other credentials with anyone who is not authorised to use your account.
• If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, contact us as soon as possible.

Candidate profile, resumes and media

• You retain ownership of the information and files you provide. You give CareerController permission to host, process, display and use that content only as needed to provide and improve the service.
• You must not upload content that is unlawful, misleading, abusive, discriminatory, malicious, infringing, or unrelated to genuine career and employment use.
• Creating or editing a profile does not by itself make your profile public, release your resume, or share your contact details with an employer or advertiser.

Jobs, alerts and candidate actions

• Job search results, matched jobs, job alerts, company information and job insights are provided to support career decision-making. They do not guarantee employment, interviews, job availability, suitability or employer response.
• Saving a job, creating a job alert, expressing interest or reviewing an apply-lite action does not by itself submit an external application, contact an employer, notify an advertiser, or release your profile, resume, phone number or email address.
• Where a feature is clearly labelled as an application, message, notification or contact-release action, additional confirmation or eligibility controls may apply.

Messages and conduct

• Messaging and invite features are intended for relevant career, job application, interview and support interactions where those features are available.
• You must not harass, threaten, spam, impersonate others, send misleading content, request sensitive credentials, or share unlawful, unsafe or abusive material.
• CareerController may provide reporting, blocking, review or moderation controls and may restrict access where needed to protect users, employers, advertisers and the service.

Third-party services

• CareerController may integrate with third-party services for authentication, location lookup, hosting, analytics, messaging, notifications, SMS, email, storage or app distribution.
• Those services may have their own terms and privacy notices. We only use them where needed to operate, secure, test or support CareerController features.
• Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Twilio, notification, email, SMS, app store, hosting and analytics integrations may be enabled, limited or unavailable depending on the environment and release stage.

Privacy and data rights

• Our Privacy Policy explains how CareerController handles personal information, device data, account data, profile data, job activity, messages, resumes and support requests.
• You may request access, correction, export, deletion or account closure where those options are available, subject to legal, security, backup, retention and operational requirements.

Availability and changes

• CareerController may change, suspend, limit or discontinue features as we improve the service, comply with law, manage security, or prepare store and production releases.
• We try to keep the service reliable, but we do not promise that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free or available on every device, operating system, country, carrier or network.

Liability

• To the extent permitted by law, CareerController is provided without warranties beyond those that cannot be excluded by applicable law.
• CareerController is not responsible for employment decisions, advertiser conduct, third-party systems, network failures, store platform outages, or losses that are not reasonably foreseeable from our breach of these terms.
• Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under Australian Consumer Law or other applicable laws.
